The minting of the episcopal issues of Vic spanned a long period of time, which according to Balaguer began in the second half of the 10th century. The inscriptions AVSONA and EPISCOPI VICI used on these mintages clearly tell us where they were made, but they do not make any reference to the bishops who were governing this episcopal see at the various times of minting. This has given rise to disagreements between researchers when determining the chronology of the minting. One of the biggest issues, which Balaguer has dated to the second half of the 12th century, is the one that shows a hand blessing between the letters N and A, and a cross surrounded by the inscription A-V-S-O. This iconography, of a religious nature, is done with a less careful technique than that of previous issues.
